On typing ‘The End’

A quick note to those of you who have been following the progress of Summer’s End. Just before noon today, I typed ‘The End’. The first draft is now finished. It took a little bit longer than anticipated, but it was so satisfying to complete the story. The word count at the moment is just under 34.000 words, so we can call this a proper novella petite novel.

I’m now anxiously awaiting the verdict of my wife. Considering I’ve used The S Word (aka soul) three times, I’m expecting the worst. (She hates The S Word and I do usually try to avoid it, but this story just begged for it.) 😉

Now that I’ve finished the first draft I can confidently aim for a mid December release, just in time for Christmas. Speaking of which… here’s the cover for the Christmas mini-anthology I’m putting together. Just as Sweat, it features stories by the talented likes of Erzabet Bishop, Laila Blake, Cheyenne Blue and Lucy Felthouse.

A Christmas to RememberLike the hat?

I know this is a bit rushed, but I must go to Ikea again… 😉

  1. Yay two books for xmas. The cover is pretty. I cant wait. Getting excited now that I know its almost here.

  2. Great news that you have finished your first draft. I am very excited to read the new story, but I am disappointed that your daily update will end. It’s been great reading about your journey an experience when writing and it’s been interesting to learn the difficulties you come across and your feelings throughout the process. It’s been a bit of a journey for all your fans that have followed you. It was a moment in my work day where I can steel a few mins and enjoy your tales. However, It will make reading this book all that more special. I hope you decide to do an update in the future again and hopefully you’ve also enjoyed telling your way of how you create your stories. It’s been great 🙂

    1. Thank you very much, Nicki! And yes, I have enjoyed it a lot… so much so, in fact, that I will continue to blog (albeit not on a daily basis because that’s a bit much for everyone ;-p) to give you a glimpse in the glamorous life of an erotica writer (aka sitting in front of the computer in pyjamas). 😉
