NEW RELEASE: Christmas Kisses: Five Merry Tales of Lesbian Lust

December 16, 2015 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

Christmas KissesWhen I wrote my story for Christmas Kisses I had just binge-watched Season 1 of Bosch (an Amazon police procedural based on Michael Connelly’s books), which had a pretty nice surprise for lesbian viewers in one of the last episodes, so (as things go) I decided to set my story in a police station on Christmas Day. The result is pretty hot as there are uniforms, women calling each other Ma’am and tight blouses open at the throat… 😉

As ever, I’m in excellent company in this mini-anthology, and my co-authors have delivered awesome saucy Christmas tales. So, according to the tagline my wife came up with: ‘Tis the season to be… frisky! Enjoy!

Here’s the blurb:
’Tis the season to be
frisky. The Ladylit Fab Five have come together once more for a sizzling seasonal mini-anthology. Decorating the tree or working the holiday shift, at a family party or avoiding the shopping crowds, the ladies in these stories find reason to get merry in any circumstance.

Caution: This title contains graphic language and christmassy lesbian sex and is suitable for adults only.

Table of Contents
The Girl in the Purple Shirt by Cheyenne Blue
Not Christmas Shopping by Lucy Felthouse
White Wings and Fairy Lights by Laila Blake
In December by Erzabet Bishop
Commanding Officer by Harper Bliss

And it’s available from

NEW RELEASE: Opposites Attract

May 18, 2015 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

Opposites AttractMy first idea after brainstorming my story for Opposites Attract was to get a very messy person together with someone prone to OCD, but then I watched the movie Swimming Pool, featuring a very uptight Charlotte Rampling and an extremely sensually portrayed Ludivine Sagnier and I became slightly obsessed. I started dreaming of a lesbian plot for the movie and I woke up on the day I set aside for writing the story so completely consumed by images of Charlotte Rampling secretly feasting her eyes on Ludivine Sagnier’s glossy, youthful legs, I had to write that story instead. So I did. And you can find it in this mini-anthology, alongside more clashing tales of lesbian lust by my favorite co-authors, Cheyenne Blue, Laila Blake, Lucy Felthouse and Erzabet Bishop.

Here’s a snippet from my story ‘The Power of Words’:

Alice lay in a deck chair wearing just a pair of bikini bottoms in a loud floral print. The way the sun warmed her nipples was, indeed, an exquisite sensation. Additionally, Alice was still basking in the glory of actually having taken her top off. She’d just done it. First the straps, then the clasp, finally letting it fall by her side—after which she’d picked it up and draped it over the back of her chair. Joy was entirely to blame for this. Alice didn’t take any responsibility for putting her upper body on display like that. And she would certainly never even consider doing so in front of someone else. But it was just her now. The blue sky above. The cool water of the pool next to her. Some birds chirping in the bushes surrounding the garden. This was what her holiday was made of. Joy would be leaving again in a few days. In fact, Alice might even enjoy her holiday more, what with the contrast of being all alone again—and the new-found pleasure of baring her chest to the sun.

“Wow, Mama,” Alice heard someone say, followed by a wolf whistle. “Glad to see I inspired you.”

Alice blinked her eyes open. The sun was all the way on the other side of the garden. What time was it? “I must have dozed off,” she muttered. Joy stood next to her chair, her eyes fixed on Alice’s bosom. Only then did Alice remember she’d taken off her top before falling asleep.

“Oh shoot.” She quickly covered her breasts with her arms, looking around for her top.

“Looking for this?” Joy held Alice’s bikini top between two fingers. “Nice fabric, by the way
Very unexpected, but hey, life can be full of surprises like that.”

Here’s the blurb:
Ladylit’s ‘Fab Five’ are back, and this time they will regale you with stories revolving around the age-old theme of Opposites Attract. Find out how a Democrat and a Republican reconcile their different political view points in Cheyenne Blue’s ‘Coming Out In District 31â€Č, how a gym novice and a gym bunny get it on in Lucy Felthouse’s ‘Same Place, Same Time’, and how an older, rather uptight woman deals with a young brat spoiling her holiday in Harper Bliss’s ‘The Power of Words’. Further stories by Erzabet Bishop and Laila Blake expand the settings in this diverse mini-anthology to a bookstore and a museum. Tension flies high in these five tales of clashing lesbian lust, in which the characters will have to either ignore their desire or broaden their mind.

Table of Contents
Same Place, Same Time by Lucy Felthouse
Dark Bloomer by Laila Blake
Coming Out in District 31 by Cheyenne Blue
Art Speak by Erzabet Bishop
The Power of Words by Harper Bliss

Enjoy!

P.S. The movie Swimming Pool has inspired me so much that I will also turn the lesbian (non-thriller) version of it (that’s been playing in my head for a few weeks now) into a full-length novel soon! (Seriously, watch that movie!)

NEW RELEASE: Cougars

November 6, 2014 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

CougarsSeveral things happened since I first had the idea for this mini-anthology. First, I wrote my own story ‘Reunion Tour’ (excerpt below) in record time and immediately considered it my new favourite (amongst my own short stories.)

Then, I fell in love with the model on the cover, and used the image of the gorgeous woman as inspiration for a character in my novelette Piano Lessons (to be released in January.)

Around that time, cougars started to take over my life and I became obsessed with them on Facebook. And all of that was before I read the other authors’ (as usual: Erzabet Bishop, Laila Blake, Cheyenne Blue and Lucy Felthouse) contributions. Needless to say, after reading those, my cougar love reached even greater heights. I haven’t recovered yet. 😉

This brand new mini-anthology is out now. I believe I just made clear how much I love it. (I think we’ll need to do a sequel.)

Here’s the blurb:
Mature women are on the prowl in ‘Cougars’, Ladylit’s new collection of lusty lesbian tales in which older ladies seduce younger ones
or the other way around. An ageing rock star has it bad for the singer of the latest hit band in Harper Bliss’s ‘Reunion Tour’. In Cheyenne Blue’s ‘Gorgon and Goat’ cheese plays its part in bringing two women together, while in Laila Blake’s ‘The Girl Next Door’ it’s a blackout in an apartment building that does the trick. Erzabet Bishop and Lucy Felthouse bring their usual light-heartedness to their stories of, respectively, an older airplane passenger in first class who has a young flight attendant all to herself, and a girl walking her dog who needs to return a stray pup she encounters on her path. ‘Cougars’ contains five mature tales of lesbian desire, in which gray strands of hair are a turn-on, and age and experience are celebrated, not ignored.

Caution: This title contains graphic language and mature f/f sex and is suitable for adults only.

And here’s an excerpt from my story ‘Reunion Tour’.

You’re a cocky little thing up there. The way you wriggle your ass—I can’t wait to stripe it with my belt. I watch you from the side of the stage. If this were a festival in Europe, my band would be headlining, but here in our home country, yours gets the number one spot. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t smart a little. I may have to take that out on you as well. It’s a win-win, really, the way you bat your lashes—your head twisted up to me—when my hand comes down on your flesh, always defying me to give more. And, when it comes to you, I never fail to have more to give.

You shimmy to the edge of the stage, lifting your arms high above your head, giving your fans—and me—a glimpse of your pale, taut belly and the little silver ring driven into the delicate skin above your belly-button.

“No one will know what it means,” I said when I arranged for Lisa to administer the piercing. “Only the two of us.” Now, every time you flash it, every single time you bare this glittering symbol of whatever we have between us for the world to see, something pierces me, too. A wave of something I don’t wish to define washes over me. I’m old enough to recognize it instantly, but still foolish enough to deny it.

Because you drive me crazy, make me feel things I haven’t felt in years. Not even taking the stage again, after a nine year hiatus, flanked by Tommy and Matthew and Sam, my brothers in arms since 1981, affected me in the same way as the first time I saw that glint in your eyes. All it took was one glance, and I knew.

You flick your head to the right, momentarily pinning your eyes on me, and the whole motion thunders through me, leaves my panties drenched. Speaking of, you’re wearing a pair of mine underneath those leather trousers—the ones that hug your ass so sublimely I need to catch my breath every time you present your back to me on the stage.

“Please allow me to present to you the next big thing,” my manager said. “The Harriettes.” You were obviously their leader, the way you hung back a bit—the way I learned to do all those years ago—to allow the others to shine during moments of lesser importance, like being introduced to a band long past its prime.

“Oh my god,” your bass player giggled. “We are such huge fans. You are our biggest inspiration.” It sounded a bit rehearsed, what with her not even being born yet the year we broke through. You appeared smarter, more composed, shrouded in that cool sort of silence that no one can take issue with.

When we shook hands, though, I detected the slightest hint of sweat on your palm, and when you met my gaze, I knew. I’m old enough to know.

You take your first of many faux-modest bows. After five months on the road, I know your routine by heart. I can only imagine the adrenalin coursing through your blood right now. Not that it doesn’t still happen to me, but the years have taken away the highest highs. I’ve learned to put it all into perspective more, to see the long-run—the end game. But I hope you’re enjoying this moment, because it truly is glorious. Unencumbered by self-consciousness, lifted up by the incessant roar of the thousands of people in front of you, that one moment you sang and strutted your ass off for the past forty-five minutes. The higher your high, the more you’ll want me after.

Yes, I ♄ Cougars! I hope you do too.

Girls in Love by Laila Blake

October 24, 2014 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

Girls in LoveThe first time I read a Laila Blake story was when I was going through submissions for Anything She Wants. Obviously, Laila’s story ‘The Corner Chair’ made it into the anthology effortlessly. I was instantly captivated by her poetic prose and thoroughly impressed by the sheer talent she displayed, even in a story of a mere 4000 words.

I’ve worked with Laila many times since then, and she has never failed to produce work of the highest standard. Every time I have the pleasure of reading a brand new Laila Blake story, it’s such a joy, and I remain as impressed as ever, often shaking my head in disbelief and muttering to my wife, “Damn, she’s so good.”

Today, I’m extremely chuffed to present to you Laila’s first mini-anthology Girls in Love, published by Ladylit. It contains five delicious, gorgeously written lesbian erotica tales, nicely bundled together for your reading pleasure.

Here’s the blurb
Childhood friends turn lovers in a snowy cabin, a student seduces her teacher in her own class room, and together two women overcome the prejudice of her family once and for all. These five lesbian erotica stories by Laila Blake are about laughter, kink and above all: about Girls in Love.

NEW RELEASE: Bossy

May 21, 2014 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

BossyI should have known that when asking my favourite lesbian erotica authors to contribute to a ‘sex-at-work’ mini-anthology, none of them would actually use the office as a setting. 😉 Their originality and quirkiness (along with excellent writing skills) are, after all, what makes me a fan. Even I, possibly the biggest aficionado of sexy F/F office encounters, chose to set my story quite far away from the traditional work floor.

Once again, I’m honoured to have been able to put this mini-anthology together (the third of it its kind already, after Sweat and A Christmas to Remember). It’s always such a pleasure to work with these talented authors and publish their stories (one of he biggest perks of being in this business.) I like to think we have a good mix of styles going in these mini-anthologies with Laila Blake’s poetic prose, Cheyenne Blue’s dazzling quality, Lucy Felthouse’s light-hearted smut and Erzabet Bishop’s irresistible fun factor (and my own flair for the dramatic.)

Without further ado, I give you Bossy.

Here’s the blurb:
If the characters in Bossy prove anything, it’s that getting it on at work doesn’t mean you need to wipe all papers off the surface and get busy on your desk. The settings in this new mini-anthology from Ladylit are as diverse as the positions the ladies in these five stories find themselves in. A doctor finds comfort with a nurse in Cheyenne Blue’s romantic tale of love in the ultrasound room, while Laila Blake’s story shows a professor who can’t resist one of her students on a sweltering hot day in the classroom. Add a maid whose mistress demands full servitude, a sexy mechanic offering roadside assistance and an A-list actress who has trouble hiding her secrets from a Hollywood reporter
and you get Bossy: five productive tales of lesbian lust.

Caution: This title contains graphic language and bossy f/f sex and is suitable for adults only.

Bird of the Summer by Laila Blake
Off the Record by Harper Bliss
Roadside Assistance by Lucy Felthouse
As You Wish by Erzabet Bishop

Writing Process Meme

March 3, 2014 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

The insanely talented Laila Blake tagged me for the Writing Process Meme (yes, capitals), and I will happily oblige.

1) What am I working on?
French Kissing Episode Four. When I’m finished with this one I’m going on holiday though, I need a break. 😉

2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I’m not sure it differs, but I have pondered this question quite a bit and I think, in a nutshell, that what I write is lesbian enough (because how can it not be? ;-)) to appeal to lesbians while also being mainstream enough to attract a broader audience. Plus, most lesbian fiction is not nearly as explicit as mine.

3) Why do I write what I do?
Because I love lesbian erotica and romance probably more than anything else in the world. 😉 In a world where we are largely underrepresented in all media, my heart always skips a beat when I encounter a strong, out and proud, sexy lesbian character going about her every day business. Because I can’t get enough of characters like that, I just create more and more and more…

4) How does my writing process work?
I used to be such a big pantser, but now that I’m knee-deep into a serial, I have no choice but to plot. I’m beginning to think that I’m slowly turning from the world’s biggest pantser into a full-on plotter. These days, my wife and I actually have ‘meetings’ in which we discuss plot points and map out the various characters’ paths. I write every weekday morning from 9 a.m. until noon (three 45 minute sessions), then e-mail what I wrote to the wife so we can talk that day’s word count (between 2000 and 2500 words, for those of you equally obsessed) over during lunch. I hardly ever work on different stories at once, except when I have a looming deadline (but I make sure I don’t have too many of those.) My brain can only handle so much drama at a time.

I’m tagging my idol Cheyenne Blue because I want to know how she does it… 😉
