When I first started writing erotica I would never have dreamed I’d one day be editing an anthology like this. But, as it seems, my preferences have shifted somewhat and I’m so very excited about this project.

I actually had the idea a few weeks ago while reading submissions for the ‘Summer Love’ anthology I’m editing together with my wife. One of the stories had some seriously hot BDSM going on and I enjoyed it so much that I started believing we needed an entire book full of these kind of stories.

So, authors: time to submit to me! (Yes, I’ve been dying to say that for a long time!) 😉 Send me your kinkiest stories. No need to hold back. All details below. (And just as a friendly reminder: I have rejected promising stories for anthologies because of extremely poor editing. Before sending me your story, please, pretty please, read it again and have someone else read it as well! Making the effort to present yourself well pays off.)

I am looking for sexy, well-written lesbian erotica stories with a clear power dynamic. Your story should feature kinky sex between two or more women, from bondage scenarios to power play to role play to sadism and masochism. I want characters with a range of age, race and sexual experience. I welcome both stories from the dominant and the submissive’s point of view. Dommes are not required to be perfect—show me their flaws and vulnerabilities!—and subs shouldn’t be pushovers. Show me what makes your characters tick. I’m not that interested in stories of extreme humiliation, but welcome stories where pain is pleasure and vice versa. Give me a good spanking. Handcuffs. A nicely cracking whip. A top who knows what she’s doing and a bottom who’s not afraid of some unexpected pain. Surprise me with your sadism, and with how your sub can only truly take it because of the deep emotional connection with the one she must surrender to.

Stories should have a unique voice, strong characters, tension, and rising action. All characters must be over 18.

Please note the usual no-nos apply: no incest / underage sex / rape / necrophilia / bestiality. No poetry please.

Preferred length: 3000 – 6000 words

Unpublished stories only.

US English. Please submit a double-spaced Microsoft Word document, using a 12-point serif font, such as Georgia or Times New Roman. One inch margins. If using a pen name, include both real and pen name on the manuscript.
Send your story as a .doc or .rtf file attachment to submissions at ladylit dot com. Please include ‘From Top To Bottom’ and your story title in the subject line.
In the body of the email please include your legal name, pen name (if applicable) and a short bio of no longer than 100 words written in 3rd person.

It’s no secret I’ve had an f/f erotica author crush on Cheyenne Blue for a while, so you can imagine how I’m bursting out of my skin with excitement because of this piece of news I’ve been sitting on for way too long: Cheyenne Blue will be editing a lesbian erotica anthology for Ladylit! Just reading the call for submissions already makes my mouth water.

Forbidden Fruit. She’s off limits but the attraction burns so bright it’s impossible to resist.
Cheyenne Blue is seeking stories of lesbian passion on this theme. Think teacher and student. A best friend’s ex—or current—lover. A monogamous couple tempted by a threesome. French Kissing Episode OneIn other news, the first episode of my new serial (which was scheduled for release next week) is available already. French Kissing is different from High Rise in the sense that none of the separate novellas will be standalone. There are cliffhangers and a lot of drama and four characters who each have their own point of view in each episode (as opposed to only two per novella in the High Rise series). The format is very much like that of a TV series, with the story line progressing over several episodes (six in this case.)

By June I should end up with an epic lesbian drama of 150.000 words (approximately 500 pages of an actual book). The plan is for this serial to continue over several seasons, so I’ll be spending most of my year with the four main characters (and their love interests). As of next week, I’ll be doing some introductory blog posts, but Episode One is only $0.99 so if you feel like getting involved in the lives of four Parisian power lesbians, why not give it a try. 😉

Deadline for ‘Anything She Wants’ submissions extended

A few people have e-mailed me to ask for a few more days to submit their story for Anything She Wants. I agreed and have extended the deadline with one week. To be fair, I’m posting it on here as well. So, if your story was almost ready, but you just missed the deadline: here’s your chance to send it to me anyway.

The new deadline is May 8, 2013. Everything else stays the same.

Anything She Wants Dear lesbian erotica writers, you have 10 days left to submit your story to me. The call for Anything She Wants closes on May 1st, so if you get cracking now, you can still send me something! I’m waiting eagerly and impatiently. 😉

Hey, if you’re anything like me at all, you’ve waited until now because, well, there’s always time right? And procrastinating is just something that needs to be done. I get it. I am the queen of procrastination, but even I, procrastinator-par-excellence would get my butt in the chair ten days before the deadline and start writing.

I admire all the lovely authors who have sent me a story already. You deserve nothing but respect for not needing a looming deadline to get things done. All of you should have received a personal reply from me within 48 hours of submitting. (If you haven’t gotten a reply, I have not received your story! So, don’t hesitate to send it again.)

Let me quickly repeat what I’m looking for. Full details and submission guidelines can be found here. And for those of you who have e-mailed me expressing concern over anything keeping them from writing the story, there’s only one thing to it: just do it! (It really can be that easy.)

Call for submissions: Anything She Wants This one’s for the writers among you. Just a gentle reminder of my open call for Anything She Wants. The call only closes on May 1, 2013, but I figured it couldn’t hurt to jog your memories. 😉

I’ve received a few quality submissions already, but I need more, more, more… I’m a very open-minded gal and I’m not picky about subject matter, as long as the writing is stellar (opening sentences are very important!)

I lie awake at night dreaming of how smoking hot Anything She Wants can be, boasting a wild variety of girls getting it on, written in the most tantalising prose. (All right, truth be told, as soon as I close my eyes I mainly dream of cougars and Kristin Lehman, but hey, we all have our thing.)

More than anything though, I hope to be able to put together such a good collection of short stories in order for Anything She Wants to become a series, putting out a sizzling new volume every year for Ladylit‘s birthday. Hey, I like to dream.

So, please send your f/f stories my way. And if short stories are not your thing, Ladylit has a general call for submissions out as well for longer titles. We’ve signed our first author this week and we’re very excited about publishing her historic lesbian romance novelette in May.

Anything She Wants Ladylit, the publishing company my wife and I founded in June last year, wants to celebrate its first birthday with a scorching hot collection of lesbian erotica, to be published in June 2013.

We have a title, a cover and an editor (although I can’t take all the credit, but the wife decided the name Harper Bliss should cover our joint effort in this case.) What we need now are… stories!

Make sure your submission is formatted properly using double spaces and Times New Roman or Georgia, 12 pt. font. Don’t put any extra spaces between paragraphs and make sure each paragraph is indented. Use quotation marks in dialogue.
