Hump Day Hook: Champagne

March 20, 2013 by Harper Bliss 12 Comments

Here we go for another round of Hump Day Hook-ing. This one’s from my latest release, Champagne.

“Stop,” she said and held out her palm, fingers pointed upwards. “You might as well take it all off now that I can still have a good look at it.” The light falling through the window caught in her red curls and created a halo effect behind her head. For a minute, I felt as if I was about to strip for a disillusioned angel.

I brought my hands to my back to unclasp my bra and let it slide off me. It fell to the ground with a soft, dry thud. I hoped my neighbour wouldn’t suddenly decide to cook a three-course meal in his kitchen.

The woman cocked her eyebrows up. “And?” Her voice dipped a little lower, to that sultry register from which no one can hide.

I flipped open the button of my jeans and ignored how my brain was trying to catch up with how my body was behaving. It wasn’t every day that I slowly undressed for a stranger in my living room. Goosebumps spread over the plains of my skin and my nipples creased into hard peaks as I lowered the zipper of my trousers. I always wore matching underwear—as if always prepared for this sort of behaviour.

Out of nowhere, her hand pulled me closer by the waistband of my panties and one of her red-nailed fingers slipped inside, not deep, just browsing the edge of my pubic hair, but enough to jolt my clit into a quick, pulsing action.

New Release: Champagne

March 19, 2013 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

Champagne by Harper Bliss At last, I’ve finished Champagne! Champagne is a short story I started serialising for Six Sentence Sunday a few months ago, but the demise of SSS and me starting the High Rise Series put a stop to its progress.

I’m releasing it today as a $0.99 lesbian short.

Here’s the blurb:
When Amanda spots a woman sipping champagne by herself in a bar at the mall, she is inexplicably drawn to her. She gives in to her instincts and tries to seduce her.

Here’s an extract:

I didn’t know her name, we hadn’t even kissed, but she felt so incredibly close. I held her gaze while she explored beneath the flimsy fabric of my panties. My jeans gaped wide open around the movement of her finger. Her nail scraped my skin as her finger travelled lower.

I inched closer, wanting to lean in for a kiss, but she tilted her head back, indicating kissing was not part of the deal.

“I need to see your eyes,” she said and, just like that, her finger grazed my clit.

My breath stopped for an instant as desire crashed its way through my flesh. Was I supposed to just stand there and take it? I let my hands fall down next to her, holding on to the windowsill for support. Her finger slid lower and connected with my wetness. My nipples grazed the silk of her blouse. Her moist champagne breath landed on my skin. Her lips stretched into the widest smile as she entered me, as deep as she could with the first stroke.

“Ah.” I clenched my fingers around the wood of the windowsill. Her eyes were still locked on mine. They seemed much darker than the bright green I’d seen earlier. She couldn’t be much closer, yet she was so far away, so distant. It only made me wetter.

Her palm skated along my clit as she delved in and out of me. It was hardly a gentle motion and it surely lacked any kind of finesse, but finesse was the last thing on my mind. The build-up wasn’t happening in my panties, it was taking place in her eyes. They narrowed every time she slipped back in, the tiny crow’s feet around them deepening with effort.

Six Sentence Sunday #15

December 2, 2012 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

Champagne is back for Six Sentence Sunday. (You can catch up here, if you like.)

She hailed a cab with authority and waited for me to give the driver the address. Her eyes rested on me, cool and expectantly.

I mumbled my street name in Chinese, a flash of new confidence zipping through me, and shot her a wide smile.

“This better be good.” She locked her sad green eyes on me, chewing her bottom lip.

My mental state yo-yoed between pure panic and brashness. I wasn’t exactly in the habit of picking up women at the mall, let alone what looked like a neglected housewife.

Six Sentence Sunday #14

November 25, 2012 by Harper Bliss 2 Comments

After a break for Fool for Love last week, Champagne is back for Six Sentence Sunday. (You can catch up here, if you like.)

I grabbed the fancy bag that held my lamp and followed her to the exit. Her pace indicated determination, a trait I hadn’t yet noticed in her. Then again, I’d only seen the sadness in her eyes and not much else.

As we approached the taxi stand, my heart started hammering in my throat. The first sign of doubt. I didn’t question my desire as much as I did my tactics and the state of my flat. She didn’t strike me as a woman accustomed to furniture bruising and beds smaller than king-sized.

As always, more Six Sentence Sunday goodness can be found at the official website. I’ll be back with the next six sentences next week.

Six Sentence Sunday #12

November 11, 2012 by Harper Bliss Leave a Comment

Champagne continues for Six Sentence Sunday…

Absolutely nothing, I thought. “It has the most interesting view you’ll ever see.” It wasn’t really a lie. My living room window looked straight into my neighbour’s kitchen and he loved to cook shirtless. Not that I found that compelling in the least.

“Well then.” She gestured to the barman for the check. “I simply can’t decline.”

Six Sentence Sunday #11

Champagne continues for Six Sentence Sunday…

“A taxi to my place.” I said it as if it were the only option. I could have suggested the zoo, or the beach, but that would just have been a waste of time.

At last, she smiled. She bared a row of too white teeth, the unexpected dimples in her cheeks making up for it. “The foolishness of youth.” She shook her head, but kept her smile. “What’s so great about your place?”
