  1. I have just finished reading At the Water’s Edge, and have fallen in love with Kay and Ella, and especially with you, Harper!! I’m glad to know you are happily married,,, for it keeps me from withdrawing what meager savings I have and trekking round the world to find you and sweep you off your feet. …..some fantasy, eh,? I’m not sure how I found At the Water’s Edge, probably on BookBub, their .99 special. I love water and seeing that word in the title hooked me. You have to know this, I don’t read novels. I read 4-6 books a month, usually, and all of them non-fiction. Yours is the first lesbian novel I’ve read all the way through. Over the years friends have recommended lesbian novels, even given me quite a few. I never could get very far into them– poor writing, no substance, etc. Yours has been a delight to read and I can tell you’ve put your heart into it. Thank you, Harper, for whatever it is that you’ve been through to give you the wisdom contained herein. I was delighted to read that the sequel has just been released and, well, you’ve made Kay and Ella such well developed characters of course I will continue to enjoy their, and your, company in my life. I feel blessed to have found you.
I just today am sending off a children’s picture book which I’ve written to a publisher. It will be my first book to publish. You have a great start already, and you’re young! I am 73, but I’m not done yet. I have other books I am working on, as well as dismantling pallets and building them into a privacy fence between me and a neighbor, cutting my own firewood, and tending my 3 precious companion cats, 3 ducks, and 5 chickens– . Then there’s my lesbian poker group, church, and friends to tend as well. So, I stay busy, but treat myself with a few chapters of your book when I’ve done enough work. Keep writing, and know that your hard work and careful craftsmanship have touched me deeply.
    With gratitude,
    Gale

    1. Hi Gale,

Thank you very much for your very, very kind words. You have me smiling from ear to ear! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed At the Water’s Edge and I hope you’ll enjoy It Takes Two as well. Keep kicking ass and writing books and playing poker and building fences!

      Love,

      Harper

  2. Hello Harper,
I just saw your Bliss and Tell #11, the only YouTube vid from an author that I have ever seen. So glad I found this site in the back of one of your books. I had just finished reading Once in a Lifetime and Release the Stars over the last couple days. I was Stunned by how tender and romantic your books were. I am new to the genre and have never read this type of book before. A Science Fiction and Fantasy fan I was. Not the gory kind or vampires, monsters and such but the more pure science fiction. I have only read maybe a dozen of this genre (Lesbian Romance). Having read the straight gothic and modern romances a few times in the past. Being really surprised by a serious desire to read more or your writings- I can call myself a fan now and I hope to live long, and if not prosper, at least have some great reading ahead of me. ( a twisted Star Trek- half quote) lol
I don’t know how one of your stories can make me glad, sad, mad, or joyful and or laugh, cry, or smile so easily. I have done all this and more when reading one of your stories. I am not gay or female- and I am getting older now. So maybe you can understand how surprised I am by all these feelings and new emotions drawn from reading your books-[This is a good thing.] I always thought I was a tougher cookie than to let a tear fall on a page or keyboard. What I thought was my tough and manly side, I guess is not so hard shelled as I thought. And I am glad to say I don’t mind a bit –loved every minute of reading your romances.
Here I am looking forward to the next books I can read that are yours. I truly love full length novels or stories I always hate when the good ones end. But I know they must.
Please let me Wish You, Your Wife , Friends and Family the very Best of New Years and many more to come.
Your new fan and I hope long distance book friend,
    Rick
PS sorry this is a bit long winded- my excuse is I am not a writer and had a hard time trying to express how I felt about your books. 🙂

    1. Hi Rick,

Thank you very much for this wonderful message. It’s very much appreciated. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed Release the Stars and Once in a Lifetime… and I’m doubly glad to have made a new fan! 😉
I do enjoy putting a lot of emotions in my books, and it’s good to know these come across on the page. And, of course, lesbian romance is for everyone to be enjoyed (the more, the merrier!)

All the best to you and yours,

      Harper
