NEW RELEASE: At the Water’s Edge – Audiobook

At the Water's EdgeI usually don’t make such a fanfare about one of my books coming out in audio, but this one feels special to me.

At the Water’s Edge is the first real full-length novel I wrote (in 2014) and it is deeply personal.

Additionally, for the first time, we didn’t sell the audio rights and have someone else produce the audio version, but we did it the ‘indie way’ and produced it ourselves. (Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean I narrated it myself in my wonky Belgian accent!) 😉 (Anne James did a brilliant job with the narration!)

Those are the two reasons why this audiobook release is so special to me. I usually don’t have the nerve to listen to audio versions of my own books, but I had no choice but to listen to this one as we had to proof-listen to it. This means having the book in front of me while listening to the audio, in order to flag any mistakes in the narration.

For a delicate little flower like myself, this is a pretty nerve-wracking task, or at least I thought it would be. It turned out to be only a tiny bit excruciating and quite thrilling the rest of the time. Because we were pressed for the time, my Mrs and I divided the book in half and I listened to the first half and she was responsible for the second half, which had all the naughty scenes, which also helped greatly! 😉

All of this to say that At the Water’s Edge is now available in audio. Here’s a reminder of the blurb and there’s a full list of where you can get it below.

Sometimes you need to go back to where you came from.

When Ella returns to her hometown to recover from a trauma, she makes a connection with Kay, the lovely owner of a lake resort.

Ella thought she didn’t have time for love, but this extraordinary woman may just prove her wrong.

A deeply emotional read by best-selling lesbian romance author Harper Bliss.

  1. Seriously did you hear me asking for a audiobook version of this book because WOW! For an “indie way” done read audiobook (I was suspicious at first !) it’s nicely done congratulations 😀 !

  2. I have both the audible and kindle version of this book. It both open and restored my soul in such beautiful ways. Your words gave voice to my pain and growth in such immeasurable ways. To see, hear love restore in such a beautiful way is priceless. Thanks so much.
